Jacks Point, a 420-hectare resort-style development near Queenstown, required an environmentally sensitive wastewater solution. Innoflow installed Orenco® AdvanTex® Textile Packed Bed Reactors combined with a small-diameter effluent sewer system to treat and disperse wastewater via subsoil drip irrigation.
The system delivers high-quality effluent (BOD₅ <10 mg/L, TSS <10 mg/L, TN <20 mg/L) and reduces nitrogen leaching to just 75% of pre-development levels. Low-profile treatment plants blend seamlessly into the landscape, with only green lids visible at ground level.
Designed for minimal maintenance—quarterly for the main plant and annual for on-lot tanks—the system proves that decentralised wastewater management can be sustainable, cost-effective, and unobtrusive, even in a sensitive environment like Lake Wakatipu.
